What if I told you that you don’t just have one body, but ten? In the world of Kundalini Yoga, your soul, energy, intuition, and radiance each have their own body. Let me introduce you to the 10 spiritual bodies and how each one influences your life.
1. SOUL BODY
“Don’t sell your soul by following others.”
Most of the time, our head is “ruling” instead of the heart and this creates inblance in our Soul body. On contrary, when our heart guides us in life, the Soul body is in balance. Because heart is the ruler of the soul. Saying that, follow your intuition – that little tiny voice that you feel it in your gut, and you won’t be wrong. If you don’t follow it, you will always be in a contradiction, like loosing your soul, your own connection to yourself.
Meditation is the best tool to connect to with your intuition. As well, Kundalini yoga strenghtens your soul.
2. NEGATIVE MIND
We possess negative, positive and neutral mind. It depends which one is dominant at the time. I am sure you have met someone thruought your life who is negative about most of the things most of the time (:-)) no matter what you say…
Our Negative Mind represents our past life we hold onto; memories, traumas, fears and shadows. It also represents our “comfort zone” and when the Negative Mind is very strong and dominant we are stagnant in our life. We usually have many excuses and justifications for various things. If Negative Mind becomes dominant over longer period of time it can lead to depression and that’s why it is important to bring it to our awareness and change our outlook to life.
3. POSITIVE MIND
It is the part of you that sees opportunities, potential, and light – even in darkness. It’s the inner voice that says; “Yes, you can. There’s a way through this.” While the Negative Mind protects you and warns you of danger, the Positive Mind amplifies possibilities and gives you the confidence to take risks, trust yourself, and expand.
When your Positive Mind is balanced and strong, you:
- Have a natural emotional resilience
- See setbacks as growth opportunities
- Stay optimistic without being naive
- Radiate magnetism and courage
- Inspire others simply by how you carry yourself
However, if the Positive Mind becomes too dominant, it can lead to unrealistic optimism.
4. NEUTRAL MIND
In the yogic system of the 10 Bodies, the Neutral Mind is known as the meditative mind — the part of you that sees life as it is, without judgment, fear, or exaggeration. It listens deeply, pauses before reacting, and speaks with clarity and wisdom. People with dominant Neutral Mind have clear perception of life and they approach life as being an observer. Their emotions are centered and balanced and they are not argumentative. They follow their intuition more than their overthinking and they are able to see bigger picture, even in difficult times.
5. PHYSICAL BODY
“Master your Physical Body, and you master the game of life.” – Yogi Bhajan
Physical body is the house, the sacred vehicle through which your soul experiences this life and carries out its purpose. From a yogic perspective, it’s so much more than muscles and bones. It’s the sacred space where the soul expresses, where intuition moves into action, and where higher consciousness becomes life lived in real time. It is about respecting your body and caring about it without obsessing over it. My yoga teacher would say “How your body moves with fluidity it is the same how you flow through life.” It is such a beautiful thing when you experience that through your yoga practice, as agile you become as your attitude towards the life.
6. HALO BODY known as ARC LINE
The sixth body in Kundalini Yoga. It’s often described as a “halo” or energetic arch extending from ear to ear, across the forehead (and also over the chest in women — they have two Arc Lines). Halo Body is connected to Ajna chakra or better known as Third Eye chakra. When this body is inbalanced we have difficulty to focus, pay attention and actions of others easily affect us. The best practices for this body are: meditation, prayer or chanting mantras. Avoid gossiping, lies, or toxic conversations. Imagine this body as a protective shield of your mind. For women, the Arc Line is especially sacred — they have two Arc Lines: one across the forehead and another across the heart. This makes a woman’s energetic field very sensitive and deeply intuitive, but also easily impacted by emotional pain, dishonesty, or betrayal.
7. AURIC BODY
“Your security doesn’t lie in money or position. It lies in the strength of your Aura.” – Yogi Bhajan
The seventh body is AURA – your magnetic field that extends 3 to 9 feet around you. It acts as a shield and a beacon at the same time. It protects you from negative energies and also radiates your presence to the world. It is the imprint of all the experiences in one’s life. This body gets easily “polluted” and it is important to take care of it. Things you can do to strenghten your Aura: pranayama (breathwork), meditation, wearing white, move your body with yoga, dance, spend time in the nature to recharge your magnetic field. And remember energy speaks louder than words.
8. PRANIC BODY
“The moment you consciously breathe, you begin to master your life.” – Yogi Bhajan
The eight body is your Life Force Energy known as Prana. Prana is the universal force that flows through everything – people, plants, animals, and even nature. It’s not just air or breath — it’s the subtle energy carried within the breath. Imagine it as your personal energy bank. When this body is strong, you feel alive, energized and resilient. When not balanced, you feel fearful, anxious, low on energy, overwhelmed.
There are two main pranic channels through which pranic (life force) energy flows through our body – Ida (left – feminine) and Pingala (right – masculine). When these channels are balanced, prana flows freely and this leads to: awakened awareness, deep meditation, mental clarity and emotional balance. The best practices to establish that free flow of prana is Pranayama practice, Kundalini kriya yoga, meditation.
9. SUBTLE BODY
This is the part of you that thinks, feels, dreams, and senses beyond the physical. It’s the interface between your body and soul, between your physical self and your higher self. When this body is balanced we feel calm, connected with out intuition, we feel that there is something bigger than us, we feel spiritually connected. When imbalanced we tend to blame others, being naive, low on energy, anxious and disconnected from ourselves.
Have you ever wondered why do you have certain fears? Like, fear of heights or fear of water when you can not recall any bad memories of it? Our subtle body carries many memories of the past life, impressions and karmas. To have strong Subtle body long period of yoga practices, meditation and pranayama are necessary.
10. RADIANT BODY
The tenth body is the energetic field of light, strength, and presence that shines from someone fully aligned and empowered. This is your charisma, courage and spiritual presence. It’s what people “feel” when you enter a room before you even speak. People with strong Radiant Body feel magnetic and confident, inspire others effortlessly and live by attitude that no matter what challenges appear they will fid the way. On contrary, people with with weak Radian Body feel stuck, shy, insecure, disconnected from their purpose. To strengthen this body speak your truth, act with courage, take consistant actions following your heart. Speaking from the experience and many years of practicing Kundalini yoga, this practice will bring more radiance and will get you closer to your true Self.
Mantra to Align with Radiant Body:
“I am light of my soul. I am sovereign. I radiate truth.”

There is also the ELEVENTH BODY and that body unites all the 10 bodies. When all 10 bodies are purified and strong, Eleventh Body is awakened. And when this body is awakened we feel connected to the divine, we fully trust in life, we feel calm, joyful and we see good in everyone, we feel compassion and understanding towards each being. There is no more duality and the truth flows, we know the path, we feel contentment.
